They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, why not wake up your skin the same way…with the same foods? Today, I’m going to share some of the best morning facemasks I’ve tried. They’re natural and you can make them in the comfort of your own home for a fraction of the cost of store-bought face masks.

If you’re a breakfast person, you probably have 90% of these ingredients in your kitchen already. So, let’s get mixing! It’s time to help your face to rise and shine!

chamomile face masks

Chamomile Tea Face Mask For Fair, Glowing Skin

  • Chamomile Tea
  • 1 tablespoon of oatmeal powder
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 drops of almond oil

Directions: Combine ingredients and apply to cleansed, dry face for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Orange Face Mask- For Moisture and Radiance

  • 1/2 cup steel-cut oatmeal (or instant and unflavored)
  • Juice from a whole orange
  • 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons dried orange peel

Directions: Wash and dry face. Combine until texture is thick so that it stays put on your face. Apply an even layer. Leave on for 15-30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Coffee Face Mask – To Wake Up Your Skin

  • 3 tablespoons coffee grinds
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Directions: Combine ingredients and apply to cleansed, dry face. Apply cold or warm in microwave. Leave mask on for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Egg Facial MaskFor Dry, Oily, or Normal Skin

  • Dry Skin: 1 egg yolk
  • Oily Skin: 1 egg white (optional: add a bit of lemon or honey)
  • Normal Skin: 1 whole egg

Directions: Beat the portion of egg (yolk, white) or entire egg. For oily skin add a touch of lemon or honey if desired. Apply to cleansed, dry face for 30 minutes and rinse.

Banana Yogurt MaskTo Cool Your Skin

  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons plain, full-fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Directions: Mash up banana and mix with yogurt and honey. Microwave honey for a few seconds to soften if necessary. Apply to cleansed, dry face and let mask dry completely before rinsing.

Milk Facial Mask – For Fresh, Rejuvenated Skin

  • 1/4 cup powdered milk
  • Water

Directions: Mix powdered milk with enough water to create a thick paste. Apply to cleansed, dry face. Let mask dry completely and rinse with water.

Cream Cheese Face Mask- To Awaken and Calm Tired & Irritated Skin

  • 2 strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons natural yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of soft, no-salt cream cheese

Directions: Mush cream cheese into puree texture. Mash strawberry and add yogurt. Mix together and apply to cleansed, dry face for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dab face with cold water to close pores.

These masks aren’t my inventions; they’re just my favorites! (I’m not that good). So, next time you think your skin is in need of a little “wake-me-up”, try one of these masks to rejuvenate your skin before you start your day.
